He may be 89 years old, but former President George H.W. Bush is still more than willing to continue his service to others.
Last week, the 41st president joined members of his Secret Service detail in shaving his head to honor 2-year-old Patrick, whose father works on the Bush Protective Detail.
The little boy is battling leukemia while his father Jon helps guard the former leader. Speaking about the gesture, Bush spokesman Jim McGrath told CBS news, "It was very easy for him to do."
According to the website, Patrick's Pals, "Our little guy received some high-powered support this week when President George Bush 41 volunteered to shave his head to show his support for Patrick and Patrick's Pals. Members of his Secret Service detail have also been shaving their heads this week in solidarity. We cannot thank both President AND Mrs. Bush enough for their generosity and concern!"
Back in 1954, George and Barbara Bush lost their daughter Robin to the disease when she was only three years old.
