Johnny Depp on Ending His Acting Career: “It’s Not Too Far Away”!

He is one of the most famous actors on the planet and has enchanted audiences for over 20 years but Johnny Depp reveals that the end of his acting career is within reach. In an interview with the morning show BBC Breakfast, Depp told presenter Susanna Reid that he is looking to take a step back from acting. “When you add up the amount of dialogue you say per year and you realize you’ve said written words more than you’ve had a chance to say your own words, that becomes an insane option for a human being”, the Pirates of the Caribbean star said.

He continued: “Are there quieter things I wouldn’t mind doing? Yes, I wouldn’t mind that. I wouldn’t say I am dropping out any second but I would say it’s not too far away.”

Fans can however relax at the moment. The production of the fifth movie in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise is expected to begin later this year and rumors about an Alice in Wonderland sequel are circulating. When asked about whether these projects would be affected by his plans, he answered “No, I think we’re alright in those categories.”
