The 'American Idol' judge heads home to NYC.

Believe it or not, Jennifer Lopez is still Jenny from the Block. Or, at least she is out to show she is in her video for "Same Girl."
The "American Idol" judge heads back to the Big Apple in the clip that serves as a love letter to her hometown. There are many references to New York City, as well as J.Lo's older music videos, including the blink-and-you-might-miss-it 6 train subway sign, Lopez's Yankees cap collection and the city's instantly recognizable skyline, which can be seen as Lopez sings from a rooftop.
She proves she can still kick it with regular folks as she walks down the city streets of her native Bronx, waving to locals, taking pictures with fans, dancing in the streets with her pals and, yes, even riding the subway.
"This was probably the craziest thing I've done in my career of music and movies!" she tweeted about the video on Thursday (January 30).

"Same Girl" gives fans a taste of what's to come on her next record, which is due out later this year. She shared last year that she's also going to kick it old school sonically on the forthcoming release.
Lopez has worked with Chris Brown as well as Future and DJ Mustard on the upcoming project. DJ Mustard produced the track "Girls," which was previewed earlier this month.
"Yes, when we were in the studio, writing songs and just getting that whole 'Jenny from the Block' flavor back," she shared last year about paying homage to her 2002 album with Brown's assistance. "We actually worked on a bunch of ideas ... and we talked about doing a duet together for his album."
She added, "Every time I get a new song I'm like, 'Oh, that could be a new title for the album.'"
