There's no denying that both Justin Bieber and Nick Jonas have that something that has propelled them to the A-list, and it seems they may soon bring those special traits to the "X Factor." Both of the singers have been rumored for mentor spots on the Fox show, kicking off on September 12.
Bieber will reportedly work with L.A. Reid to help mentor his group on the show, sources tell TMZ. The site reportedly snapped a photo of him on Monday heading to a home in the Hollywood Hills to dole out some advice for the show's hopefuls.
Adding fuel to the fire, Bieber even sent the record executive some love on Twitter, writing, "long day but great day. @LA_Reid @ScooterBraun just like old times! Thanks." Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter notes that "American Idol" judge hopeful Nick Jonas will team up with his longtime pal and former "Camp Rock" co-star Demi Lovato to mentor her group when the final 16 contestants are picked.
It's also rumored that VMA Pre-show performer Lovato will handle solo singers ages 12 to 16, Britney Spears will mentor singers 17 to 24, L.A. Reid will judge ages 25 and over, with Simon Cowell guiding the groups.
Reps for neither Bieber nor Jonas had responded to MTV News' request for comment by press time.
While Jonas' role on the "X Factor" has yet to be confirmed, he has confirmed that he is in talks to sit permanently at the judge's table on "Idol" next season. It's a move that has been fully supported by his brothers.
Kevin Jonas gushed to MTV News, "I think he would bring insight to it, unlike a lot of people. At his age, he's been able to accomplish so much and be able to do so many kinds of things, whether it was Broadway, whether it was like pop music, whether it was producing for other artists. Like he's done it mostly all, so I think he can have his feet planted on the ground to be a good judge."
