Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin broke news of their separation "with hearts full of sadness" on Tuesday (March 25), with Paltrow taking to her Goop website to pen a heartfelt letter explaining why "while we love each other very much, we will remain separate."
The twitterverse quickly exploded into a frenzy of disappointment, bitterness and every Coldplay pun under the sun.

Everyone began to question the meaning of love and life after the couple ended a decade-long marriage.
