'He didn't really say anything,' Jay says of Kendrick's verse on Friday (April 18).

Jay Electronica doesn't mince words. So when he opened the floor on Friday (April 18) for an impromptu Twitter Q&A and was asked to rank the verses on Big Sean's "Control," he had no problem admitting that co-collaborator Kendrick Lamar's incendiary 16 came in... last place.
"me, big sean then kendrick. he really didn't say anything," he responded.
@cb_theman98 me, big sean then kendrick. he really didn't say anything.

Of course, that kind of comment set off a war of words, but Jay was quick to defend himself while still showing love for the Kendrick, saying "no shots. everyone knows i like kendrick. but facts are facts."

As much as the "We Made It" MC likes K.Dot, he went on to share that he prefers the lyrical prowess of another member of the Black Hippy crew: Ab-Soul.
"yes. iw ill most certainly collar w Ab Soul when the time is right. he's one of my favourites," he wrote.

Other noteworthy comments that came out of the Q&A include his inspiration to start rapping (LL Cool J's "Radio"), his choice for an additional rapper on "Exhibit C" (Nas) and his newfound respect for Odd Future's Earl Sweatshirt, Tyler, the Creator and Frank Ocean and Freddie Gibbs.
And for those fans wondering if he regrets signing with Jay Z's imprint, he doesn't.

Still no word on when Jay Electronica will drop his oft-delayed debut album, but he will be headlining this year's Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival, which kicks off July 9.
