Looking to make it a trifecta, "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" is on pace to take top honors for the third straight weekend (April 18-20) at the box office.
The superhero sequel headlined by Chris Evans and the stunning Scarlett Johansson raked in an impressive $10 million on Friday and is on track to finish the weekend with a $26 million total.
Family friendly flick "Rio 2" is holding steady in the second spot with a $9.5 million Friday and an estimated three day take of $23 million.
Rounding out the top five in estimated earnings are the newcomer "Heaven is for Real" ($19.5 million) in third, Johnny Depp's latest "Transcendence" ($12.5 million) in fourth, and the comedy horror film "A Haunted House 2" ($9.5 million) in fifth.
