Obama Campaign Calls Robert De Niro’s “White First Lady” Joke “Inappropriate”
Robert De Niro is being criticized for his remarks at a Monday night campaign event attended by Michelle Obama, during which the actor joked that America might not be ready for a "white First Lady." De Niro was introducing Obama when he told the crowd, "Callista Gingrich. Karen Santorum. Ann Romney. Now do you really think our country is ready for a white First Lady?"
