The two had a joint interview for their new movie "New Year's Eve" where Lea asked Ashton "What are you going to do for New Year's? Why don't you come celebrate with my big Italian family and me?" And instead of accepting or even pretending to accept Ashton just flat out blew her off, "I don't know where I'm going to be on New Year's, I haven't sorted it out." So if Lea ever had hope of a romance with Ashton, it's clearly not going to happen.
Poor Lea, she's had such a crush on Ashton for so long, she even mentioned it in another interview, "I kinda felt like he was a little out of my league. You know, this guy?s like, the hottest guy, and then when they called and said that Ashton was doing it, I was really freaked out." It's probably for the best though, Ashton is pretty much a huge jerk these days and as much of a drama queen as Lea is, she deserves someone better. (celebitchy)
