Brand spanking new stills from Twilight Breaking Dawn Part Two have just been released, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly. Posters and images show Bella, Edward and Renesmee Cullen in a series of dramatic, (sometimes cutesy) and oh so more-ish shots. Manna for Twihards around the world, expect more footage to be drip-fed as the release date for one of the most anticipated movies ever, looms closer.
Love it or hate it, it is easy to get sucked into the Twilight world so deliciously created by Stephenie Meyer. I love the books and by proxy, I’m automatically interested in the films. In the latest stills, we get to see Kristen Stewart in her new avatar as newly turned, stoic yet bloodthirsty vampire Bella Cullen. Along with brooding Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and surprisingly fully clothed werewolf Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner), the three easy-on-the-eye actors form a protective triumvirate for the half-human, half-vampire child that is Renesmee.
There is massive interest in Mackenzie Foy, who plays Edward and Bella’s child. She favours both her on-screen parents, and one can’t help wondering that’s what Robert and Kristen’s child would look like, if they were dating (the ‘are they, aren’t they’ has never been denied or confirmed by either camp). Kellan Lutz (rippling biceps intact), Dakota Fanning and Cameron Bright also get an airing in the teaser shots.
With Bill Condon at the directorial helm, I really hope the film delivers the goods. With just over five months to go before Breaking Dawn Part Two hits the cinemas (that’s 156 days to be exact, or 3720 hours, or 223, 200 minutes – can you tell I’m counting down the days?), the beginning of the end has already begun.
