Lauryn Hill Pleads Guilty to Tax Evasion, Faces Up to 3 Years in Prison

Lauryn Hill pleaded guilty on Friday to three counts of tax evasion. As Gossip Cop previously reported, the singer was charged earlier this month with failure to file federal tax returns with the Internal Revenue Service on more than $1.6 million in earnings during 2005, 2006 and 2007. Hill appeared in a New Jersey court room on Friday, where her attorney said she plans to pay what she owes. Still, the Grammy winners faces up to one year in prison on each count.
