He had a long and successful life as one of Hollywood’s best-loved actors and sadly Harold Ramis died today (February 24).
The “Ghostbusters” star was 69 years old when he passed away at his home in Chicago this morning, surrounded by his family.
Ramis suffered from autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis, a rare condition that forced him to re-learn to walk a few years ago.
A press release from the United Talent Agency states, "His creativity, compassion, intelligence, humor and spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him.”
Harold wrote the 1978 flick “Animal House,” directed “Caddyshack,” and starred in “Year One, “Knocked Up” and “Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story.”
