With just 48 hours left in 2013, it's time to start shoring up your plans for the countdown to the New Year. Where will you be? What will you do? And whom will you be smooching when the clock strikes midnight?
But wait! Before you answer, you'll want to take a gander at -- and maybe take inspiration from -- our roundup of New Year's Eve plans from our favorite celebrity party people. From a cozy night in for the royal family to a party in the U.S.A. for the year's biggest pop icon, here's how you can ring in 2014 in style:
Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson
What They're Doing: After a year spent mostly out of the public eye, rumor has it that the "Twilight" lovebirds will ring in the coming year the same way they did with this one: snuggled up away from the paparazzi, on the Isle of Wight.
Destination Details: Just off the southern coast of England, the Isle of Wight has been a holiday destination for discerning Brits since the Victorian era. In fact, Queen Victoria herself had a summer home on the island for years.
How Can I Go? Hop a flight to Southampton, England by way of Edinborough or Manchester. Then pick up a ferry to the Isle's northernmost harbor. In the summertime, the Isle's abundant beaches make it a fun place for seaside strolling, but for New Year's, you'll want to pack something cozy and make plans to bunk down in a cute English inn. One package offers, "cream tea and champagne upon arrival."
Total Cost: Set aside $2,500 for your last-minute trans-Atlantic flight, another £397.50 (about $660) per person for a New Year's stay at the Priory Bay Hotel, and £14 (about $23) for a round-trip ferry to and from the Isle.

What They're Doing: Although nobody close to the couple has blabbed about their plans, several sightings of them in and around London since yesterday make it a fair bet that they'll be celebrating the New Year there.
Destination Details: Big Ben; Westminster Abbey; Buckingham Palace -- you know the deal. London is England's biggest, bestest city, and a very cosmopolitan place for two A-list celebs to get lost in the New Year's revelry.
How Can I Go? United Airlines still have non-stop flights available for a last-minute jaunt, and while the hotels might be full up, an Airbnb room in the hip Dalston neighborhood can still be had for a song. Just be cautious when buying street meat.
Total Cost: At under $2000 for a plane ticket and 2-night stay, partying a la J-Law and N-Hoult is more affordable than any other across-the-pond option.
The Royal Family
What They're Doing: Kate, William, and baby George have committed to a cozy New Year's eve at the Middleton family home in Bucklebury.
Destination Details: The country estate where Kate's fam resides is a picturesque stone home, but it's been upgraded with serious security and patrolled by guards, in order to protect the visiting heir to the British throne.
How Can I Go? Hop an overnight flight and rent a car for the hour-long drive from London to Bucklebury.
Total Cost: Your flight will set you back $1400, but scoring an English manor house like the one where the Middletons live is a bit pricier... By $1.3 million or so. Personally, that kind of luxe just ain't for us.
What She's Doing: With a spot on the performance roster for the NYC New Year's Eve celebration in Times Square, it's a given that Miley will be partying it up in the city that never sleeps.
Destination Details: It's the country's most famous New Year's party, in the city's most famous location. Come midnight, midtown Manhattan will be packed to the gills with revelers from all over the world.
How Can I Go? It's not too late to catch a train from most cities in the U.S., but you'll want to arrive by early afternoon if you want to actually see the famous ball drop, because it fills up fast. Also, pack a warm coat, hat, and gloves, 'cause it's gonna be cold out there.
Total Cost: Cheaper than you'd think; who needs a hotel when you're going to be up all night? Take the train, and you can be in NYC from most east-coast locations for under $200. Flying will set you back closer to $600. Of course, if you work at MTV, the entire Times Square celebration is just outside your office door!
