Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Jamie Bell and Michael B Jordan are confirmed for the next installment of the comic-book franchise, directed by Chronicle's Josh Trank
The cast for the next instalment of the Fantastic Four franchise has been confirmed as Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Jamie Bell and Michael B Jordan.
Teller, playing Mr Fantastic, was heavily rumoured for the role, while Jordan was previously confirmed as playing the Human Torch. The pair can currently be seen on screen together in bromantic comedy That Awkward Moment. Kate Mara, older sister of actor Rooney Mara, will play the Invisible Woman, a role that Emmy Rossum also screentested for. British actor Jamie Bell will play The Thing, and is no stranger to big budget Hollywood fare, having previously appeared in Jumper and King Kong.
The director is Josh Trank, whose 2012 film Chronicle, also starring Jordan, was an inventive found-footage take on the superhero movie. He recently went on Twitter to debunk a purported synopsis of the film that was circulating online, later telling the Badass Digest blog that "The only truth in that plot description is that there are four characters named Reed, Ben, Sue and Johnny", referring to the characters' human names in the comic book.
