Get ready to "Scream" again. MTV has ordered a one-hour pilot based on the Wes Craven series of horror films aimed at reinventing the smash films that introduced the world to maniacal killer Ghostface.

MTV is teaming with Dimension Films on the "Scream" reboot, with discussions underway with a number of writers for the series, which is slated for a summer 2014 debut. In addition, Dimension has been speaking to Craven about directing the show's pilot. The "Scream" announcement came on Thursday at MTV's annual upfront presentation, which included news on three new series coming to the network, "Generation Cryo," "Nurse Nation" and "The Hook Up." The network also announced that "Snooki & JWOWW" will return for a third season.

"Cryo" is a look at the issues faced by a new generation of kids coming of age who were conceived via anonymous sperm donors and are redefining what it means to be a family. It will follow the journey of 17-year-old only child Breeanna, who recently logged onto the Donor Sibling Registry, a website dedicated to connecting sperm donor families, and learned that she has at least 15 half-siblings all fathered by a man none of them know. It will follow Bree as she attempts to meet all her half-brothers and sisters and lead them on a nationwide search to find their biological father.

"Nurse Nation" is another new docu-series that follows nine twenty-something travel nurses, some rookies, some veterans, all assigned to work at a new hospital in a brand new city for 13 weeks. In addition to watching them face the challenges and intense pressures of working in the medical profession as they face life or death decisions every day, cameras will also follow them as they take advantage of all that their host cities have to offer on their days off.

"The Hook Up," hosted by "Guy Code"'s Andrew Schulz, is a dating show where contestants will choose from four potential suitors based on their social media history. With the help of their closest friends, the contestants will try to separate the contenders from the pretenders to see if what you see is really what you get.

Among the returning MTV2 shows is "Mac Miller and the Most Dope Family," which will be back for a second season in 2014. After wrapping its first season as the highest rated original debut season in MTV2 history, Mac Miller and company will start production on the second go-round later this year.

The upfront was hosted by MTV News' Sway Calloway plus Nikki Glaser and Sara Schaefer of "Nikki and Sara LIVE," which was recently renewed for a second season, and included appearances by Miller, Tyler Posey and Holland Roden of "Teen Wolf," Nev Schulman and Max Joseph from "Catfish: The TV Show" and Vinny Guadagnino, his mom Paola and Uncle Nino, from the new series "The Show With Vinny."
