After celebrating his colleague's accomplishments at the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday night (January 27), Taye Diggs proved he wasn't one to be messed with as he took down an intruder after returning home.
At around 11:20 pm, the "Private Practice" star returned with his wife Idina Menzel and was shocked to discover a burglar in his garage.
The intruder, Hassan Juma, began to run, but did not escape the hunky 42-year-old actor. According to LAPD spokesman Richard French, "The suspect tried to run away, but [Diggs] chased him down the street and was able to detain him until police arrived. At this time, I don't know exactly what he did to the suspect to detain him."
Police charged the suspect with burglary and his bail was set at $50,000. It's a wonder that Taye had the energy to chase down the intruder as earlier that night he tweeted, "My favorite part is the dance party afterwards. Dj Paesche kills it and everyone's on the dance floor."
