Justin Timberlake Defends Miley Cyrus' Scandalous VMA Performance

Celebs are taking sides in the Miley Cyrus VMA uproar and Justin Timberlake has just joined Team Miley.

In an interview with Fresh 102.7, the "Take Back the Night" singer seemed surprised at all the hubub, saying, "Listen, man, you know, it's the VMAs. What did you guys expect?"

Coming to the "We Can't Stop" songstress's aid, he continued, "I like Miley. I like her a lot. I think, you know, she's young. She's letting everybody know that she's growing up."

Noting the difference between the MTV spectacle and other awards shows, JT says, "I just think it's the VMAs. It's not like she did it at the Grammys. Let her do her thing, you know?"

Indeed, the 32-year-old pop star reminded listeners about past VMA scandals including Madonna humping the stage in a wedding gown and Britney Spears' strip tease.
