Despite initial reports that Lily Collins would take the part, Jane Levy is said to be in talks for the lead role in the upcoming "Evil Dead" remake.
According to Deadline, the "Suburgatory" star will act as a replacement to "Mirror, Mirror" actress Collins, who was forced to drop out of the Fede Alvarez-directed film due to scheduling conflicts.
The report adds that Jane will play the part of Mia, originally fronted by Bruce Campbell, who is described as "one of five young people who head to the remote cabin where evil awaits."
As for the film itself, production is scheduled to get underway in New Zealand sometime in the near future, with hopes for an April 12, 2013 theatrical debut.
