Whales Not Protected Under 13th Amendment -- Sorry PETA (ContributorNetwork)
ContributorNetwork - COMMENTARY | Over my years of studying the history of the political and legal system of the U.S., I cannot think of a more insulting proposed case than PETA's attempt to gain protection for SeaWorld whales through the 13th Amendment. Even though I am a person that has supported animal rights, I would never imagine granting them Constitutional rights. If this were to somehow pass, it would start a slippery slope that would invite all types of nutty challenges to our great document.
