These "brides" are hoping to set a world record in honor of Twilight (Getty Images) In honor of the DVD release of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1, a LOT of women in London dressed up as brides attempted to set a Guinness World Record for the longest chain of brides in one location. The ladies all came out in gorgeous white gowns and veils and the whole nine yards in hopes of going down in the record books. The women that showed up will get a chance to buy the vampire movie on DVD (a day early!), and also get to see a special clip of Part 2, which doesn't hit theaters until November of this year. That teaser doesn't debut for the rest of the world until March 23.
No word yet on whether or not the group of brides actually accomplished their goal, but we have a feeling the gals were happy just to see Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson in action in the short clip. That's well worth coming out to Oxford Street in a white gown and veil.
