Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade not only gave us Broadway numbers, marching bands and humungous balloons; it gave us our favorite up-and-coming pop singers — from Cher Lloyd to Fifth Harmony.
The girls from 5H rode into Herald Square on the Pepperidge Farm float, meaning they had lots of Goldfish to keep them company as they sang "Better Together." They told MTV News on Wednesday how they reacted to the news that they were performing.
"We all were thinking of coats. Thinking, 'It's gonna be freezing.' And then we found out we have to be on the float for three hours and we can't pee. Yeah, that's a problem," they told us. "It's still gonna be an awesome experience. To be on it is an honor. It's a tradition. It's super iconic and it's a part of history."
Don't worry, girls — your coats looked great... and super toasty.
Although Cher Lloyd reps the U.K., her float was all New York as she stood on a replica of the Brooklyn Bridge. In polka dot mittens, the "X Factor" alum sang "I Wish" sans T.I.

After a jump-rope group hopped to Ellie Goulding and Calvin Harris' "I Need Your Love," Debby Ryan rolled in front of Macy's with some giant, colorful chipmunks, singing "Favorite Time of Year."
"It's cute and it's fun an it's festive and it's more seasonal," Ryan told us about the song on Tuesday, explaining why performing at the parade is so important to her.
"Every single year my mom would wake us up, and you know, when you're younger, you're like 'I don't want to get up' and then you become a teenager and it's artists that you love and CDs that you bought and songs that you made your parents listen to," Debby said. "Then you get to the age where you're sitting and drinking coffee with your parents and you're kind of friends with your parents. That's where I've just gotten.
"Getting together as a family and watching this was going to be exciting in and of itself, and then, I was able to fly them all out here," she added. "It's crazy and surreal and definitely one of those bucket-list moments."
Fall Out Boy rocked out with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, playing "Alone Together," with Pokemon's Pikachu in tow. Joan Jett, Kellie Pickler, Gavin DeGraw, Goo Goo Dolls and many more also performed during the three-hour event.
Austin Mahone got serious — despite being surrounded by fluffy Build-A-Bears. He broke down his "Banga Banga" single in a leather jacket and a dance crew. On Friday, he told us what the performance means to him.
"It's important because so many people have performed on floats at the Thanksgiving Day parade," he said. "This thing has been going on for centuries." It may feel like it's been going on for that long, but this year is Macy's 87th time hosting the Turkey Day parade.
And before Santa closed out the show, Ariana Grande joined Dora the Explorer to belt out her version of Wham!'s "Last Christmas," which she released as a part of her holiday-themed rollout leading up to her Christmas EP.
