Yet another found-footage horror movie in the Blair Witch Project manner, this American-Russian co-production offers a fictional solution to the real-life story of what happened to nine Soviet ski-hikers who met mysterious, unexplained deaths in the Urals in February 1959. But the explanation, which involves another curious tale from the 1940s that continues to fascinate conspiracy theorists, is difficult to swallow.
