Demi Lovato Thanks Fans for Condolences After Father’s Death

She’s always had a close bond with her followers, and Demi Lovato issued a heartfelt thank-you for her fans’ support in the wake of her dad’s death.

The “Skyscraper” hottie recently lost her father Patrick Lovato, and though she hasn’t publicly spoken about the loss, she tweeted her gratitude last night (June 23).

Demi wrote, "I feel so humbled to have had so much support from my fans, friends, family and complete strangers. God bless you all, thank you so much love."

Back in 2009, Lovato indicated that she and her dad were estranged, and it’s not clear whether they ever reconciled- "The last time I talked to him was two years ago. When somebody lets you down after you've been the only one there for them, and so many times, you don't know what else to do."
