FIRST PUBLIC APPEARANCE - Robert Pattinson arrives at the premiere of "Cosmopolis" in his first public appearance since his split from Kristen Stewart. In this first public appearance since KStew's dalliances with director Rupert Sanders made headlines worldwide, Pattinson looked composed and confident. He reportedly signed autographs and posed for pictures with fans who'd been camped out all night to show their support for the burned Twilight star. Then, he made his way into the theater.
Earlier in the day, he had his first post-scandal interview with Jon Stewart for the The Daily Show. That segment will air tonight. While we'll have to wait and see how much relationship talk goes down in Pattinson's the interview, it's good to at least see the star smiling. And, he'll probably do much of the same in his whirlwind Cosmopolis press tour this week.
The actor's slated to ring the bell Tuesday at the New York Stock Exchange (where he'll hopefully really let his emotions fly), then he'll be up early for Good Morning America Wednesday, and talk to MTV Thursday. Between all of that it's hard to imagine Ms. Stewart won't come up, but the focus will definitely be on his new flick. Unfortunately. Here's hoping for some awesomely awkward Pattinson humor when his potentially ex-girlfriend does come up, however.
