John Edwards has a life-threatening heart condition, according to his doctor. A cardiologist for the disgraced ex-Senator and onetime presidential candidate wrote two letters to the judge presiding over Edwards' trial for alleged conspiracy and campaign law violations. At a hearing on Friday, Judge Catherine Eagles delayed the trial until at least March 26, giving Edwards time to have surgery.
