Rob Pattinson has been trying to put on a brace face for the cameras, but pals say the 26-year-old actor is still furious with Kristen Stewart.
“Rob seemed happy and upbeat during his official appearances last week, but he joked that he was doing the best acting of his life,” a friend tells Closer. “In reality, he is really angry and feels like the paparazzi are chasing him.”
To escape the constant media scrutiny, Rob has been trying to avoid the Hollywood hoopla and spend his evenings at the gym.
“He’s been punching bas at the gym every night to vent his frustration,” adds the pal.
Though Rob is still understandably angry about Kristen’s infidelity, the two are reportedly still planning to meet up and talk face to face.
“Rob has a packed schedule promoting his new film, and wanted to get that out of the way before meeting with Kristen,” the friend explains. “He knows it will be very emotional when they finally see each other, but he is determined to meet with her, even though he’s still angry.”
