barnesgonzo: Katie Holmes Says Her Marriage Was Over For A LOOONG Time!

Katie Holmes has stated in her divorce papers that her marriage to Tom Cruise has been "irretrievably" broken for at least 6 months before she filed for divorce. Tom has claimed that he was "blindsided" by the divorce filing and that he had no idea she was planning on divorcing him.

As you guys know, Katie has filed for divorce in New York where the couple has had residency for two years, this is good for Katie because she wants sole custody of their daughter, Suri. However, both Tom and Katie lived in Beverly Hills for a few years and we're guessing that Tom is going to claim that their residency is there. Either way, we saw this coming- we just weren't sure when it would happen. Now that it has, we really hope Katie can keep Suri out of Scientology's clutches. (Source: tmz)
