Gran Turismo 5: This is How You Support a Game
We live in a time when game publishers fear the secondary market. They sell their games for $50-$60 in stores, but then see nothing when these games are inevitably resold on eBay, GameStop, or other used game outlets. This has become so prevalent in the minds of publishers that the online pass has started to crop up in more and more games. Electronic Arts started the trend with their Online Pass. Now we've seen it show up from THQ with Homefront and Warner Bros. with Mortal Kombat. If you want to play the game online, you have to submit a code that comes with a brand new retail copy. Bought it used? You'll have to pay $10 to get online access.
